I love pickled veggies. My Asian pickled red onions are the perfect way to elevate a dish. I used them to spice up my Korean Beef Taco's (pic coming soon)đ Try them and let me know how you like to use them.â â
Ingredients:â â 1 cup of rice wine vinegarâ 1 cup of waterâ 1 tsp sea saltâ 1 tsp of red pepper flakes (2-3 if you like it spicy)â 2 cloves of garlicâ 3-4 slices of fresh gingerâ 1 tbsp of zero calorie sweetener @swervesweetie @Splendaâ 2 red onionsâ Mason Jarâ â Preparation:â 1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine everything except the onions and bring to a boil and remove from heat.â 2. While pickling liquid is heating up slice onions into thin slices. â *Tip - I like to use my countertop spiralizer or mandolin to speed up this process otherwise ill beđđâ 3. Put the sliced onion in the jar and pour the hot liquid over the onions until all of the onions are covered. â 4. Seal the jar and let the onions sit for at least 1 hour but overnight is best. You can add these to salads, pizza tacos.. anything where you want to layer flavors. Enjoy!đâ .âŁ
