I love pickled veggies. My Asian pickled red onions are the perfect way to elevate a dish. I used them to spice up my Korean Beef Taco's (pic coming soon)š Try them and let me know how you like to use them.ā

Ā Ingredients:ā
Ā ā 1 cup of rice wine vinegarā
Ā 1 cup of waterā
Ā 1 tsp sea saltā
Ā 1 tsp of red pepper flakes (2-3 if you like it spicy)ā
Ā 2 cloves of garlicā
Ā 3-4 slices of fresh gingerā
Ā 1 tbsp of zero calorie sweetener @swervesweetie @Splendaā
Ā 2 red onionsā
Ā Mason Jarā

Ā Preparation:ā
Ā 1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine everything except the onions and bring to a boil and remove from heat.ā
Ā 2. While pickling liquid is heating up slice onions into thin slices. ā
Ā *Tip - I like to use my countertop spiralizer or mandolin to speed up this process otherwise ill beššā
Ā 3. Put the sliced onion in the jar and pour the hot liquid over the onions until all of the onions are covered. ā
Ā 4. Seal the jar and let the onions sit for at least 1 hour but overnight is best. You can add these to salads, pizza tacos.. anything where you want to layer flavors. Enjoy!šā
